3-Day Algonquin Park: Intro to Camping
Algonquin Park, Canada
Escape to the great outdoors on a 3-day, small-group hiking and canoe tour in the famous Algonquin Park in Ontario, Canada. The park features loons, beaver dams, endless lakes, deep forests, and a sky full of stars. There’s a reason it’s one of the most famous and beautiful parks in all of Canada. As Ontario’s oldest provincial park, it has some of the richest history, plus the most abundant wildlife and incredible scenery. All the necessary camping gear is included.
This 3-day excursion to Ontario’s Algonquin Park is a perfect introduction to camping. During the day, spend time canoeing, hiking, and exploring different areas of the park. At night, hang out and sleep at a group campsite (with bathrooms nearby). Bring a notebook because the guides will point out some wild edibles and useful trees and plants as well.
On the second day, learn some paddling skills. Canoeing through Algonquin is a very traditional Canadian experience. Become a paddling pro, sing songs by a campfire, and experience camping Ontario style. There will also be a chance to sleep under a blanket of stars, hear a loon sing at sunset, and meet wonderful people. The food will be delicious and the coffee will be bold.
This outdoor adventure is for beginners and those still getting into camping. Beginners will find this trip a comfortable challenge with lots of support. Those with a bit of experience will be able to hone their skills and become proficient ‘outdoor people.’ The local tour operator will also tailor the trip depending on the group.
