This is the perfect way to travel from Bagan to Mandalay, without having to take a flight. Enjoy the passing scenery while relaxing on traditional wicker chairs, located on the sun deck. You will be served an early morning breakfast, to enjoy as you recover from the early start. Lunch will also be provided on board. The boat starts its sail upstream.
In the late afternoon there will be a stop at a typical river village; shore excursion time is about one hour. Discover rural life along the river and take in the scenery as you continue cruising. Continue disembark at Yandabo Village, a charming village known for its finely crafted terracotta wares, made out of riverbank clay. In addition, Yandabo is historically noted for the signing of the Treaty of Yandabo which took place under a tree on the riverbank in 1826 between the British and Royal Burmese House-hold of Ava, officially putting an end to the First Anglo-Burmese War.
